This month's cycle has been a whirlwind of new beginnings, endings, uncertainties, revelations, and reckonings. At the left is a picture of the Venus & Saturn (can't see Saturn too well*) conjunction that happened during this month's full moon. In short form, Venus is about abundance, bounty, moistness, creation of beauty, union, and culture; Saturn is about separation for purposes of development, occlusion, bitter taste, and dryness. Their union in the sky (conjunction) has given us the opportunity to blend these two energies in our lives in supportive ways--not always an easy task, hence the title of this post "Beauty In Hard Places". This union, came on the heels of the Het Heru and Heru rituals of celebrations of love. We may be left wondering this month "where's the love?" Even eternal lovers Het Heru and Heru separated to go on with their visions and purposes. I'm learning that even in the midst of suffering and difficulty love is there. It is always there. The solitude that Saturn can bring during this time can be used to communicate with those deeper Self essences that we sometimes forget. Venus softens Saturn; Saturn strengthens Venus. May not be the stuff of romantic fantasies but these two work beautifully together...beauty in hard places. *photo from www.spaceweather.com
