The Victory of Asar As Orion

In the Kemetic tradition (which is close to my heart) today is also the celebration of the successful raising of the 'Djed Pillar'--Asar's 'will to be' after his physical death. In Kemetic cosmology Ast, who is Sirius astronomically, continues to lead (from the earth's perspective) Asar, who is Orion through the heavens until this day when he is fully 'awakened'. We see this in the night sky as the three stars in Orion. The male principal is once again taking his rightful place in our lives and all can be right with the world.

Blessings on this Winter Solstice

Happy Winter Solstice! The theme of healing and transformation is strong during this 3 day period of the winter solstice starting today. The moon is in sidereal Aries in the nakshatras of Krittika--symbol of the spiritual warrior, his energy is pure fire and Ra energy which fits very nicely with this winter solstice. It will be determination to carry forth the vision of your 'dharma' or purpose that will see you through this season (until the spring equinox). This message is given more strength by the fact that we are in a gibbous moon phase which emphasizes the qualities of faith and trust. The Tantric lunar Goddess who rules this day is Jvalamalini Nitya--She Who Is Garlanded With Flames. She destroys inner and outer enemies and helps us to manifest our earthly desires. There is no better time for rituals of purification through fire--sweatlodge, sea salt baths, "burning bowl" or other fire ceremonies with the focus on releasing through fire purification the dross of what is no longer useful in any part of our lives.

A Clouded Path

As we move into the crescent moon phase of this cycle--the time when we really begin to emerge from the 'womb state' of the new moon--I'm meditating on how often we lash out wildly and inappropriately. Often because we are frustrated when our efforts don't bare the fruit we believe we should be receiving. We are currently in the Orphiuchus cycle (sign). Orphiuchus is primarily unknown in Western astrology (except those who practice sidereal astrology). The sun travels through the constellation Scorpio and 'dips' into Orphiuchus after a period of only 7 days in Scorpio for a period of 19 days then travels through the constellation of
Sagittarius. Orphiuchus focuses on the highest healing and creative wisdom available. Unfortunately for many, we are closed off from this important portal because we don't know that it exists! The famous Hermetic saying 'as above, so below' translates for Orphiuchus as a blind spot in the psyche; in our inability to own this powerful sexual healing energy. Scorpio alone cannot deal with the traumas of the modern psyche including the sexual repression and imbalances. Orphiuchus is the embodiment of being able to "hold"and transmute Shakti/Kundalini energy, to 'touch' pure Goddess energy within and without. The frustration we have with not seemingly able to free ourselves from addiction, fear etc. can be released through this cycle like no other. In your visions of wholeness see that aspect of yourself who has the power and consciousness to 'charm serpents' transforming through dance and bliss those cloudy energies out of your atmosphere. Ophiuchus/Imhotep-The Healers' New Moon

I'm beginning to finally understand my 'Scorpio' moon--it's not in Scorpio but Ophiuchus. Now that I'm embracing Ophiuchus as the core of my lunar energies I embrace the healing he brings. This new moon is in 10 degrees of Ophiuchus--hidden in modern seasoned based astrology as part of Scorpio. Ophiuchus is a major portal of healing and enlightenment, not only as a representative of the the revered ancestor Imhotep--architect, healer and major magician lineage holder; but also this constellation is only a few degrees from the galactic center--earth's Divine Mother's womb. Ophiuchus is urging those who are healers to really tap into this sacred energy during this moon cycle. There is an abundance of energy available to slough off old wounds of ourselves and others. Dreams are also potent, magikal rituals are stronger during this cycle (ends on December 18th). Those who are so inclinded would do well to visit their astrologer and/or healer/shamans/medicine community for potent insights right now. A new level of mastery of sexual energies is also available now as Ophiuchus is an original 'snake charmer'. The new moon's Nakshatra (lunar mansion) is in Jyeshtha, a courageous spiritual warrior energy. This is an excellent energy for self healing and healing relationship wounds. This new moon's energy, in general, also has a strong Jupiter, Mercury and Mars focus so it is important to have strong faith in your ability to spiritually face and conquer fears around how you create financial well-being (ethics, character, etc.) and how fairly wealth and resources are shared between intimates. After a several month hiatus I'm back! I needed to take a time out to review what I'm doing and why and have decided I'm doing fine manifesting the vision I was given.
